83 Proof is a neighborhood whiskey and cocktail bar known for its extensive spirits collection and welcoming atmosphere. Our back bar features a massive selection of whiskey with a focus on American bourbon and rye, single-malt Scotch, and standout whiskies from around the world, along with a broad and carefully curated gin collection. We specialize in both classic cocktails and fully customizable creations, with bartenders happy to craft drinks to your personal taste. Opened in 2007, 83 Proof is located in a space with deep local history, previously home to Tommy’s Bar (1945–1978), the Leopard Cafe (1980s–early 1990s), and Attitude Bar (mid-1990s–early 2000s).

Located in The Ferry Building, Ferry Plaza Wine Merchant has been serving locals and visitors alike since July, 2003. We feature a curated retail assortment of wine, beer, spirits and accessories. Our Wine Bar serves beer, wine, and a simple but satisfying wine friendly menu. Please inquire about Wine Bar service, as COVID-19 is resulting in conditions changing week to week. Thank you!

The intimate 2,000 square foot space offers a comfortable atmosphere with warm woods and brushed iron meeting shades of subtle blues and grays for a calming vibe imbued by soft, natural lighting from the floor to ceiling windows that flank the front of the venue. Wood floors, a hand crafted wooden bar, skylight, wood wall accents and large screen TVs to showcase sports and important events. A centralized art installation rotating local artists will give Southside a hip, stylish vibe with a nod to San Francisco’s lively art community.
