Located in Golden Gate Park, our programs are jointly operated by the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department (SFRPD) and the Friends of Sharon Art Studio (FOSAS). We offer arts education for people of all ages in ceramics, leaded and fused glass, jewelry/metal arts, drawing, painting, and mixed media. ASA provides TK–5 students with a strong foundation in the arts, bilingual English and Mandarin Chinese language development, mathematics, and science while fostering creativity, curiosity, confidence, and character. Our hands-on curriculum blends academic rigor with daily arts instruction in drawing, painting, piano, voice, dance, and theater, taught by specialty teachers. We also offer a Mandarin Chinese Immersion After School Program that supports homework while immersing students in Chinese language and culture, as well as a Young Artists Studio for after-school arts enrichment. Both after-school programs are open to all students, including those outside of the ASA day school program.
