Blue House Cafe is a family-owned neighborhood coffee shop a few blocks from SF State, open since 2018. We pull careful espresso, hand-whisk ceremonial matcha, and pour house-made seasonal syrups into the drinks list. The kitchen leans into what we grew up eating: Spam musubi, sushi bakes, and a short rotating menu of pastries from the morning bake. The room is airy and quiet by design, counter seating at the espresso bar, soft booths by the windows, outdoor tables when the weather's good, and room to open a laptop and stay a while.
