About

Shaws is a San Francisco institution, having been in business since 1931 serving Mitchell’s ice cream, old-fashioned candy, fudge and homemade chocolates and confections. Under new ownership, Shaws received a complete remodel in 2021 and is now restored as the neighborhood icon of West Portal. With recent additions of an event space and an in-house chocolatier Shaws strives to bring you a nostalgic family experience. From a scoop of ice cream and a piece of homemade fudge to corporate gifts, party favors, hosted events and more, we look forward to serving you.

Balboa Bi-Rite MarketCandy store
Balboa Bi-Rite Market is your go-to neighborhood liquor and grocery spot just 2 blocks from Golden Gate Park, near the disc golf course and close to the Outside Lands festival entrance. Swing by for cold beer, wine, spirits, snacks, and all the essentials before heading into the park. Proudly serving the community for over 50 years, we’re a true local staple in the neighborhood. Not that Bi-Rite 😉—just a proudly independent corner store with our own style, serving up good vibes, great selection, and friendly service for neighbors, park-goers, and anyone passing through on the way to Ocean Beach, the Golden Gate Bridge, or down the Peninsula.
Oceanview Market & DeliCandy store
Right in the heart of the outer Richmond neighborhood, close to Lincoln Golf Course, Veterans Hospital and Ocean Beach-this corner market’s way more than a liquor store. It’s your go-to for craft beers and wine that ranges from cheap to fancy. Craving a snack? Grab ramen, Pocky, Asian chips, or a cold drink that actually hits. If you’re lucky, there’s fresh spam musubi by the register—quick, salty, perfect. Need basics or a random must-have? It’s probably here. Somehow, this tiny shop packs it all in—and before you know it, you’re stopping by all the time.
